Blue Painted Steel Pipe
Somehow the newer plastic variety of playground equipment has lost the charm of the old stainless steel slides and worn painted steel bars that I remember as a child.
I suppose the newer variety are a little safer – but I’m not convinced that they are nearly as durable. I think that I will always be fascinated by painted wood and metal and the wear marks of years of use by little feet and hands.
