This citrus-inspired image was created by carving a block of pine with a router, rolling it with ink and making a print. With each pass of the heavy rag paper thought the press, I removed more wood from the block and applied a different colour of ink.
The end result was a serendipitous success with the brilliant splash of pink and yellow becoming an unplanned but welcome focal point. I called the print ‘C’ as it reminds me of the sweet and sour tanginess that comes with biting into a fresh piece of citrus fruit.
It is one of my favourite prints.
