Steve and I enjoying dinner at site H47.We all changed out of our damp, sweaty clothing and started a small fire to avoid getting chilled. As we had been rationing our food all day, we realized that we could then afford a larger meal. We were glad to get it as we were all pretty tired and a little beat up. After enjoying the warmth of the small campfire under a stunning canopy of stars, we retired to our slightly damp sleeping bags for a well-deserved rest.

We awoke just before daybreak and Steve and I began filtering water (using MSR ceramic pump filters). We boiled some of the water and added some Carnation Instant Breakfast packets to for warmth and energy.

The morning mist in the La Cloche mountains from site H47.We were treated to a spectacular view of the southern portion of the Killarney range and Georgian Bay as the rays of the rising sun began to strike the low-lying clouds and the rocky hilltops in the distance. As I was taking some pictures of the scenery, my bowels suddenly let me know that I was not about to complete the expedition without a trip to the restroom.
